This Jammu Kashmir tour package with Patnitop and Katra follows a six-night road circuit from Jammu. It suits travellers who want Kashmir sightseeing with a Katra stop while keeping both arrival and departure at Jammu.
The journey begins with Patnitop and a Srinagar houseboat stay. A Sonamarg day trip returns to your Srinagar hotel before the route continues to overnight stays in Gulmarg and Pahalgam. The final transfer brings you to Katra. This is a moving itinerary, with a substantial road journey on the Pahalgam to Katra day. One Katra night does not provide a dedicated full day for Vaishno Devi darshan. If darshan is an essential part of your holiday, extend Katra by one night and book an 8-day plan. Darshan timings, registration and any helicopter services must be planned separately. The base package remains a seven-day Kashmir circuit with a Katra stay.

Day-Wise Tour Plan & Sightseeing
Day 01 · Jammu to Patnitop
Approx. 110-120 km | 3-4 hours of driving
Meet your driver at Jammu Airport or Jammu Railway Station and begin the road journey to Patnitop. After check-in, enjoy a gentle walk near your hotel or spend the evening at leisure. A short local stop can be considered if your arrival leaves enough daylight. The sightseeing plan will be coordinated around your train or flight arrival.

Day 02 · Patnitop to Srinagar
Approx. 180-220 km | 6-8 hours of driving
Check out after breakfast and drive into the Kashmir Valley through the main highway corridor. Reach Srinagar, check in to your houseboat and rest after the journey. The included Shikara ride can be scheduled in the evening if there is sufficient time and suitable weather; otherwise the team will arrange it within the remaining Srinagar stay.

Day 03 · Srinagar to Sonamarg and Return
Approx. 170-190 km return | Full day, usually 8-10 hours including stops
After breakfast, follow the Sindh Valley road towards Sonamarg. Enjoy the valley scenery and spend time in accessible areas. A Thajiwas visit, pony ride or local sightseeing vehicle is optional, separately payable and dependent on current access. Return to your Srinagar hotel in the evening. Zero Point, Zojila and glacier activities are not included in the base transport.

Day 04 · Srinagar to Gulmarg
Approx. 55-65 km | 2-3 hours of driving
After breakfast, travel to Gulmarg through Tangmarg and check in to your hotel. Use the remaining day for accessible local walks or an optional Gondola visit if you have a confirmed slot. Tickets, snow activities and any required local transport are separate unless your quotation includes them. The driver will coordinate the route around current road and operating conditions.

Day 05 · Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Approx. 135-150 km | 4-5 hours of driving
Check out after breakfast and drive to Pahalgam. The final approach follows the Lidder Valley. On arrival, check in and enjoy the town or a riverside walk where accessible. Optional local valley sightseeing may be arranged only if time allows, with the required local taxi and entry charges paid separately unless confirmed in your quote.

Day 06 · Pahalgam to Katra
Approx. 230-270 km | 7-9 hours of driving
Depart after breakfast for the long road transfer to Katra. Check in on arrival and allow time to rest. This day does not provide a guaranteed full Vaishno Devi yatra. If darshan is required, book an additional Katra night and a dedicated yatra day. Any same-evening personal visit depends on arrival, registration and the pilgrim's chosen pace.

Day 07 · Katra to Jammu Departure
Approx. 45-50 km | 1.5-2 hours of driving
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Jammu Airport or Jammu Railway Station at the agreed time. If you have separately planned a yatra, coordinate the departure only after you have returned and allowed time to rest. The base package ends with the Jammu drop. Additional hotel nights or changes to the road plan require a revised quotation.

Is a full Vaishno Devi darshan day included
No dedicated darshan day is built into the 6-night route. The drive from Pahalgam reaches Katra on Day 6. Add a second Katra night for a full darshan day and departure on Day 8; obtain a revised quote before paying.
Where are pickup and drop included
Pickup is from Jammu Airport or Jammu Railway Station; drop is at Jammu Airport or Jammu Railway Station. Share arrival and departure details before booking. A different airport, station or city pickup may change the route, timings and cost.
Is this a private tour?
Yes. The quoted vehicle is reserved for your own travelling party. The vehicle category is selected for the number of travellers and luggage. Local activities or restricted sightseeing transport are separate unless confirmed in your quotation.
Which meals are included ?
MAP includes 6 breakfasts and 6 dinners, starting with dinner on arrival day and ending with breakfast on departure day. Lunch and food outside the set meal plan are extra. Tell the team about dietary requests before confirmation.
Can I choose hotels and upgrade the vehicle ?
Yes, subject to availability and the revised quotation. Share your preferred hotel category, room sharing and vehicle requirements. A particular hotel, room view or vehicle model is confirmed only when stated in writing.
How do I book and receive confirmation ?
Submit an enquiry or use online booking when the package has an active price. Review the final services and policies, then complete full payment. After receipt and verification, booking confirmation and the voucher are shared within one working day, with an assigned Tour Manager.
What happens if weather or road access changes ?
Sightseeing order and timing may be adjusted for weather, road access or operating restrictions. Activity operation and access depend on current conditions. Any material change or separately chargeable service will be explained through the applicable booking terms.
Are Gondola tickets and Pahalgam valley taxis included ?
No, unless added to the written quotation. Gondola tickets, Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari local taxis, entry fees, pony rides and extra activity services are priced separately. The base package includes only the sightseeing transport and ride stated under inclusions.
