A Connected Pilgrimage from Amritsar to Himachal and Katra
This Shaktipeeth and Vaishno Devi tour package from Amritsar brings the temple visits and Katra stay together in one itinerary. Your driver receives you at the agreed Amritsar airport or railway station pickup point, and the pilgrimage begins with a journey to Chintpurni.
After an overnight stay in Chintpurni, the next day covers Maa Jwala Ji, Maa Baglamukhi at Bankhandi, Maa Brajeshwari Devi in Kangra and Maa Chamunda Devi. You then stay in Dharamshala before travelling to Katra.
The package includes two nights in Katra. The first gives you time to settle into your hotel and prepare for the yatra. The following day is kept for Maa Vaishno Devi darshan, with a return to the same Katra hotel before your departure for Amritsar.

Planning the Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra
Katra is the base for the pilgrimage to Maa Vaishno Devi Bhawan. Your private road vehicle does not take you to the shrine. Pilgrims complete the yatra on foot or use permitted paid facilities where available.
Yatra registration and collection of the required RFID access card must be completed according to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board instructions. Helicopter tickets, pony or palki services, battery-car services and ropeway tickets are separate from this package unless expressly included in your written quotation.

Day-Wise Tour Plan & Sightseeing
Day 01 · Amritsar Pickup – Chintpurni Darshan
Distance: Approx. 150–170 km by road
Travel Time: Approx. 4–5 hours, excluding temple visits
Arrive at Amritsar Airport or Railway Station and meet your driver at the agreed pickup point. A morning arrival is recommended to allow sufficient time for the journey and Chintpurni darshan.
Travel to Chintpurni and visit Maa Chintpurni Temple. Check in to your hotel and relax after the journey. You may attend the evening aarti if your arrival time, temple schedule and queues permit.

Day 02 · Chintpurni – Jwala Ji – Baglamukhi – Kangra Devi – Chamunda Devi – Dharamshala
Distance: Approx. 130–150 km by road, covering the complete temple circuit
Travel Time: Allow approximately 4–5 hours of driving and 8–10 hours or more for the complete day, including temple visits. These are planning estimates for the combined route.
After breakfast, check out and start early for the day’s Devi darshan circuit.
Visit Maa Jwala Ji Temple, followed by Maa Baglamukhi Temple at Bankhandi. Continue to Maa Brajeshwari Devi Temple, also known as Kangra Devi or Vajreshwari Devi Temple.
Next, visit Maa Chamunda Devi Temple before proceeding to your hotel in Dharamshala. Check in, have dinner and rest.
Four temple visits are planned today. During Navratri, weekends and other busy periods, queues can extend the day considerably.

This day is mainly reserved for the road journey. On arrival, check in to your Katra hotel and rest before the Maa Vaishno Devi yatra.
Complete the required yatra registration and RFID-card collection according to current Shrine Board instructions. Prepare your walking essentials and plan your yatra departure time. If time permits, you can explore the nearby Katra market.

Day 04 · Katra – Maa Vaishno Devi Darshan – Katra
Distance: Approx. 13 km one way to Bhawan; approximately 26 km return on foot. The actual distance varies with the chosen track and any Bhairon Baba visit.
Travel Time: Keep the full day available. Allow approximately 12–16 hours or more for walking, breaks and darshan; this is a planning allowance, and peak-period queues can extend the yatra substantially.
Start early for the Maa Vaishno Devi yatra from Katra. Your room remains booked at the same Katra hotel for the second night.
Proceed towards Bhawan for darshan. Your private road vehicle does not travel to Bhawan. Pony, palki and other permitted facilities are separately chargeable and subject to availability.
Ardhkuwari lies along the yatra route. A visit there, or to Bhairon Baba after the main darshan, should be planned according to queues, available time and your walking pace.
Return to your Katra hotel and rest. Discuss hotel meal timings in advance if you expect an early departure or late return.

Day 05 · Katra – Amritsar Drop
Distance: Approx. 250–270 km by road

Your driver will drop you at the agreed Amritsar Airport or Railway Station. Confirm your departure timing with our team before booking tickets, allowing sufficient time for road travel, breaks and airport or railway reporting requirements.

Conditions vary between Amritsar, the Himachal temple towns, Dharamshala, Katra and the higher Vaishno Devi route. Summer days can be hot in the lower areas, while higher sections may feel cooler, particularly after sunset. Winter requires warmer clothing, and rain can affect road travel and walking conditions. Road & Permit Information
The package follows road connections between Amritsar, Chintpurni, the Kangra temple circuit, Dharamshala and Katra. Journey times depend on traffic, road conditions, weather and breaks. For Maa Vaishno Devi, pilgrims must complete yatra registration and collect the required RFID access card before beginning the journey. Registration is free under the Shrine Board process, and pilgrims registered online must still collect their RFID card. Booking this holiday package does not replace official yatra registration.
